Program Information
Get a great start to your career in computer science with this program, designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college. Through hands-on lab work meant to prepare you to solve industry-specific problems analytically, you’ll develop a knowledge base in different programming languages and various subfields that will be available to you when you graduate.
Upon completion of the two-year program, students should be competent in all of the following areas:
- Successfully transfer to a 4 year institution
- Develop a theoretical knowledge base, and firsthand experience with the problem solving process
- Have the knowledge of and experience in several subfields of Computer Science
- Work as part of a group to complete laboratory assignments and projects
- Develop analytical problem solving skills
- Communicate effectively in the field of Computer Science
