Local Bedroom/Suite Gathering Room Fire Alarm Activation:
Each student bedroom in any building as well as Bellamy Hall Suite Gathering Rooms are equipped with a monitored fire detection device that activates in that area only. It does not activate the building Fire Alarm unless two devices or a common area device is activated.
When a local device activates:

- Wake any sleeping occupants in that room.
- Feel bedroom door. If cool, open slowly and exit the area.
- Feel suite/quad door. If cool, open slowly and exit the area.
- Contact Public Safety. In an emergency, dial 911
