Get real-world training in your chosen field when you sign up for the Business Internship as part of your academic plan.

Business Internship (BM290) is a course that can be substituted for an elective in your degree plan, giving you the opportunity to get hands-on experience in your field of interest while earning credit toward your degree. The internship requires 13 hours of work per week for 12 weeks in a supervised environment. A work experience journal is required, along with a supervisor evaluation, attendance in the class, and a student presentation.

With the assistance of Professor Justin Wilcox, students are able to seek out their own opportunities or select positions from a list of pre-approved companies offering internships.

Internship requirements

  • You must be matriculated in a Business-related major
  • You must have a major GPA of at least a 2.0, with a minimum of 36 semester hours earned, or permission of the faculty member teaching the course
