MVCC provides a special recognition to all employees who retire from full-time service from the institution, having attained the age of 55 and worked full-time at the institution for a minimum of ten years. 

Each qualifying retiree is presented with their choice of a commemorative gift, personally inscribed with the official seal of the College, their name and years of service from Standard Chair of Gardner (a Harvard Chair; a Boston Rocker; or a Harvard Library Lamp). 

The format in which the gift is presented is individually determined between the recipient and his/her supervisor.
