We're glad you're interested in joining Phi Theta Kappa!

At MVCC we invite eligible students to join Phi Theta Kappa at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Students are sent an invitation letter to their home address and also receive an email with additional details from our chapter advisors. While we do host an Induction Ceremony in the third or fourth week of the semester, invited students have until the end of that academic semester to join. Students who do not join and are still eligible in the next semester will receive another invitation.

Eligibility requirements

• At least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
• At least 12 credits completed that count toward a degree
• Are currently enrolled at MVCC (part- or full-time, matriculated or non-matriculated)
• Adhere to the moral standards of the society

Phi Theta Kappa does have an amnesty program so that coursework more than five years old can be exempted from the GPA used to calculate eligibility.
