Middle School
For current 6th-, 7th-, 8th-grade students in Oneida County
Tuition is FREE for all students, thanks to funding from Oneida County. Students MUST attach a copy of the most recent report card and a minimum of 100-word essay along with the application. Applications for middle school students are due no later than June 28.
Spots will fill up quickly and are given on a first-come first-served basis, so submit your application ASAP!
High School
Current 9th-, 10th-, 11th-grade students can apply to be Teaching Assistants (TAs)
Students MUST attach a copy of the most recent report card and a minimum of one page essay along with the application. Applications for high school students (TAs) are due no later than June 21.
High school students will act as TAs in the middle school classes and take classes of their own.
Must have a good understanding and excel in Math, especially Algebra.
Receive a 65 or better on the diagnostic exam — part of the application process (Mandatory).
*Dates for the diagnostic exam are Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. (Rome), and Sunday, June 23, 10 a.m. (Utica). Please select your exam date on your application.
Should be able to interact and communicate with students in an appropriate manner.
Follow the Math Corps rules and regulations.
*TAs will receive a stipend of $575 and the benefits of two instructional math classes.
Transportation
Transportation to the MVCC Utica Campus will be provided for middle and high school students in Oneida County who indicate need on their application. Pickup and drop-off for the camp is located behind the Academic Building. Access via Sherman Drive and turn onto Academic Road at the traffic light.
