Disability Mentoring Day (Presented by ACCES-VR)

High school students and college students are invited to participate in Disability Mentoring Day, which will provide information to students with disabilities in a question-and-answer panel format. Panel members include local employers who can answer questions, provide information on job search and career pathways, and have an open discussion on what is expected in the real world of work.

Employer Bus Tour

Join the MVCC Career Transition Program for a day of exploration aboard a complimentary tour bus that will make several stops at area employers representing a multitude of career clusters. You will learn about the many opportunities that exist within the Mohawk Valley and have the opportunity to tour, ask questions, and learn about each organization's hiring practices. The day will conclude with a complimentary lunch.

Financial Reality Check: A Hands-On Money Management Simulation for High School Students

Students enrolled in Pre-Employment Transition Services at MVCC or through Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES and its component school districts will participate in an engaging real-world simulation themed around financial literacy. Stay tuned for more information!

Day of Service

With volunteering comes great benefits! In addition to the positive feelings that come with giving back, there are plenty of work-readiness skills to be gained from this experience. Join the Career Transition Program as we give the gift of time to a local non-profit that depends on volunteers like us. The Day of Service will conclude with a complimentary lunch.
