SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Benefits
MVCC students may be eligible to receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
benefits.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issues electronic benefits that
can be used like cash to purchase food. SNAP helps low-income working people, students,
senior citizens, the disabled, and others feed their families. Click to check your eligibility or apply for SNAP.
Enrolling in SNAP as an MVCC Student
- Access the Student Verification of Enrollment form on MyMV in the Student
Self-Service Tile. - Click on "Registration".
- Click on "SNAP Enrollment Verification Form".
- Select the current semester you're enrolled in.Once the form is printed, students can submit the form with their SNAP application and other required documents.
A Note About HEAP
HEAP is the Home Energy Assistance Program, a similar benefit used to assist in one's energy bill.
If one qualifies for SNAP, then they automatically qualify for HEAP.
