What to Look For (Everyone)

  • Do links explain where they go?
  • Do you see “click here” or “read more”?
  • Why This Matters

Screen reader users often scan links separately from text. Vague links create confusion.

How to Fix It (Editors)

  • Use descriptive link text (e.g., “Apply for Financial Aid, View Financial Aid Waiver Form”, etc.)
  • Avoid raw URLs.

Do / Don’t

DO

  • Make link purpose clear.

DON’T

  • Use "click here", "this link", "read more", etc.
