At Mohawk Valley Community College, we strive to make our college community welcoming, affirming, and inclusive for all. Here you will find a wide variety of resources, including information on housing, restrooms, trainings, allies on campus, and local/off-campus resources.

Gender and Sexuality Alliance 

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a student club at MVCC that provides support and education on LGBTQIA+ issues in today's society.

LGBTQ+ Workgroup

MVCC's LGBTQ+ Workgroup activities are overseen by the Office of Student Affairs. Initiatives of this committee include hosting or co-hosting campus events such as Coming Out Day, GLSEN Day of Silence, World AIDS Day, and Lavender Graduation. This committee also coordinates trainings, recommends policy, procedure, and signage changes, and raises funds for community events. 

Online Pop-Up Pride Shop

The LGBTQ+ Workgroup has created an online pop-up shop where students and staff can purchase MVCC Pride items like shirts, hats, and water bottles. The shop helps to raise funds for our GSA to provide LGBTQIA+ programming and events. Visit the MVCC Pride Pop-Up Shop.
