Additive Manufacturing

Fused-Disposition Modeling (FDM)

FDM printers use a thermoplastic filament, which is heated to its melting point and then extruded, layer by layer, to create a three-dimensional object. Ideal for quick plastic, rubber or high strength nylon prototypes and small production runs.

Printing Size Capabilities:

Up to 14" x 10" x 14", depending on printer and material required

Materials:

  • PC-ABS
  • ABS-M30
  • PLA
  • FDM TPU 92A
  • Diran 410MF07
  • Onyx (Nylon with Chopped Carbon Fiber) along with additional layers of Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber for added reinforcement

Photopolymer Phase Change Inkjets

This 3D printing process uses an Inkjet printhead that jets out liquid photopolymer and support material onto the print platform. After each pass, a UV light cures the photopolymer and wax support material. Excess material is than removed by a roller and the print platform is lowered by one layer. This printer is exceptional for small details and smooth finishes. Ideal for quick plastic prototypes and small production runs. Produces a product that is comparable in quality to an injection molded part.

Printing Size Capabilities:

Up to 11.6" x 8.3" x 5.6"

Materials:

  • M2R-CL (Clear Material)
  • Others materials available upon request

Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

Our SLM metal 3D printer uses lasers to melt metal powder at 25 micron's per layer thickness. Ideal for producing precise complex metal 3D geometries for Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Tool and Die, and Mechanical applications.

Printing Size Capabilities:

Up to 90 mm x 90 mm x 80 mm

Materials:

  • Stainless Steel 316L
  • Stainless Steel 17-4PH
  • Bronze CuSn

Sand Casting Pattern Manufacture

3D printed patterns for the sand-casting process offers cost savings compared to traditional methods such as wood craved or machined patterns, faster lead time, and improved design freedom. Ideal for patterns to be used for bench, jolt/squeeze, and automated molding techniques.

Printing Size Capabilities:

Up to 14" x 10" x 14"

Printing Size Capabilities:

Material used would be determined based on part size and expected mold quantity requirements.
