Mohawk Valley Community College recently announced the following appointments, title changes, and promotions as approved by the Board of Trustees at its August 2026 meeting:

DuWayne Engram has been appointed GEAR UP Program Specialist in MVCC’s College Pipeline Programs. His primary responsibility will be to improve GEAR UP students’ academic performance through the delivery of a range of instructional support and intervention services. He joins the College from the YWCA of the Mohawk Valley, where he was a Community Educator. Engram holds an associate degree in Human Services from MVCC, a bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and an MSW in Social Work from SUNY University at Albany.
Laura Goff has been named Assistant Vice President of Learning and Academic Affairs. She will be responsible for setting the standard for intellectual engagement, academic integrity and accomplishment by providing strategic vision and operational leadership for the academic unit in conjunction with the Vice President and co-Assistant Vice President. Goff will also provide collaborative, strategic, innovative, and visionary leadership in the development of the Academic Plan in support of the College’s Strategic Plan and provide inclusive and collegial leadership that supports innovative change in advancement of the College’s Mission, Vision, and Values. She was most recently the Dean of the School of Public and Human Services at MVCC and has held several senior-level leadership positions at Excelsior University in Albany and Schenectady County Community College. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
NeDavius Ladmirault has transitioned to the position of Senior Multimedia Designer in the Marketing and Communications Office. In this role, he will lead development of the College’s digital footprint and identity by working with a graphic designer, web developer, content developers, writers, photographers, and videographers to create print and multimedia graphics and integrate them into motion graphics for use across various digital media, including the web, mobile apps, online ads, HTML emails, social media, digital signage, presentations, and more. He has been the Multimedia Designer in the Marketing and Communications Office since July 2024. He holds an associate degree in Applied Science, Communications Design, and a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Digital Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Colin Mackey has been appointed Executive Director of Budget and Finance/Chief Financial Officer at MVCC. He will serve as the College’s senior financial strategist and fiduciary leader, providing executive leadership for budget development, financial planning, fiscal management, accounting, financial reporting, audit, compliance, treasury, and financial systems. Reporting to the President, he will oversee the stewardship of the College’s financial resources, support long-term financial sustainability, and serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, participating in institutional decision-making. Mackey is an experienced accounting and finance professional with a diverse background spanning various positions in higher education academic institutions and private businesses. He has held positions as an Accountant, Senior Accountant, Fiscal Manager, Director of Administrative Services, Director of Finance at SUNY Morrisville, and Acting Director of Student Accounts at SUNY Canton. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from St. Bonaventure University and a master of science in Teaching, Elementary Education, from SUNY Potsdam.
Christopher Maxwell has been appointed to the position of Instructor of Electrical Service Technology in the School of STEM–Career. He will provide instruction, assist senior faculty in course revisions and curriculum writing, advise students, serve on College and departmental committees, and perform other appropriate professional obligations. Maxwell has been an adjunct instructor in the School of STEM for several years and has held engineering roles designing, testing, and maintaining products or systems. He was most recently a Senior Reliability Engineer for Quanterion Solutions Incorporated. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University.
Golsa Mirbagheri has been appointed to the position of Instructor of Electrical Service Technology in the School of STEM–Career. She will teach assigned courses; collaborate with senior faculty on course revisions and curriculum development; provide academic advising and mentorship to students; participate in College and departmental committees and governance; and engage in other appropriate professional, academic, and service activities. Mirbagheri has held teaching positions at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif., Brown University in Providence, R.I., Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., and was a research assistant at Hampton University in Hampton, Va., and Duke University in Durham, N.Y. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Azad University in Tehran, Iran, a master’s degree in IT Engineering Management from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.
Mary Beth Murphy has transitioned to the position of Controller in the Business Office. She will serve as the College’s senior accounting officer and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, strong internal controls, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations related to the College’s financial operations. Murphy will direct and manage core Business Office functions, including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bursar operations, cash management, investments, restricted and grant fund accounting, and project accounting. She has been the Controller for the Auxiliary Services Corporation at MVCC since 2022 and has held senior accounting positions at Nascentia Health in Syracuse, Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, and Valley Health Services in Herkimer, N.Y. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Accounting from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Nicole Ollerenshaw has been appointed to the position of Instructor of Psychology in the School of Public and Human Services. She will provide instruction, assist senior faculty in course revisions and curriculum writing, advise students, serve on College and departmental committees and perform other appropriate professional obligations. Ollerenshaw has held several Licensed Mental Health Counselor positions at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Meredith Gorton Counseling Services, the Neighborhood Center, and MVCC. She is also the owner and lead counselor for Envision Counseling and Consulting in New Hartford. Ollerenshaw holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utica University and an MSW in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Oswego.
Mary Jane Parry has transitioned to the position of Interim Vice President of Administrative Services. She will provide executive-level oversight and coordination of Information Technology, Public Safety, Institutional Research, and the Business Office to ensure stability and coordination of key administrative functions during a period of leadership transition. Parry has held several positions at MVCC since she joined the College in 2003 and was most recently the Executive Director of Information Technology. She holds associate degrees in Data Processing, Programming, and Systems and Business Management from MVCC, and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, and Economics from Empire State College.
Moxie Randall has been appointed to the position of Instructor of Fashion Design in the School of Art. She will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, collaborating with senior faculty on course revisions and curriculum development, advising and mentoring students, participating in College and departmental committees, and contributing to other appropriate academic and professional activities. Randall has experience teaching in the fashion department at Indiana University and was an Independent Researcher and Uniform Collections Intern for the Boy Scouts uniform history at Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection in Bloomington, Ind. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Fashion Design and German Studies, from Indiana University and a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Art History from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
Cody Turk has been appointed Technical Assistant in Life and Physical Sciences in the School of STEM–Transfer. He will provide skilled assistance to faculty, professional, or administrative staff in Life and Physical Sciences or other related programs or projects. Turk previously was a Development Engineer and a Quality Assurance Engineer for Alkegen in Green Island, N.Y., and has served as an Adjunct Instructor and Professional Tutor at MVCC since 2025. He holds an associate degree in Engineering Science from MVCC and a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
