Mohawk Valley Community College will present a concert by the Five Families Ensemble at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, in Schafer Theater, Wilcox Hall, at the College’s Utica Campus.
Concert tickets, which are $10 general and free for MVCC students, are available for purchase online at mvcc.edu/tickets.
The Five Families Ensemble, directed by Monk Rowe, stretches the boundaries of traditional chamber ensembles by combining sounds from each of the four instrument groups — brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings — with a fifth contribution from the human voice. Their repertoire includes jazz, Americana, classical and world music, as well as original compositions.
