Mohawk Valley Community College will host its Spring Open House for prospective students and their families from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive. While registration is recommended, it is not required to attend. Sign up today!
Welcome and Check-In
The program will begin at 10 a.m. in Schafer Theater, Wilcox Hall, with an introduction to the College and its Admissions Office. Students interested in on-campus housing will have the opportunity to attend a session on Residence Life. Check-in will open at 9:45 a.m. in the lobby outside Schafer Theater, and refreshments will be provided.
Check-In Instructions:
- Before 10:45 a.m.: Guests will check in at Wilcox Hall, receive a welcome bag, and proceed to Schafer Theater.
- After 10:45 a.m.: Guests should check in at the Jorgensen Center.
Academic and Student Services Showcase
The Open House continues with the Academic and Student Services Showcase from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Jorgensen Center Field House. This portion of the event provides attendees with the opportunity to:
- Meet MVCC faculty, staff, and students.
- Explore academic programs and experience live demonstrations.
- Learn about student support services, clubs, and athletics.
- Connect with athletic coaches.
- Tour the Utica Campus, including residence halls, dining facilities, classrooms, and labs.
- Talk with representatives from the Center for Corporate and Community Education about FastTrack career programs, professional development courses, and personal enrichment opportunities.
“Open House is an excellent opportunity for students to experience MVCC firsthand, explore academic pathways, and connect with faculty and staff who are dedicated to their success—whether their goal is career readiness, job placement, or transfer to a four-year institution,” said Dan Ianno, Director of Admissions at MVCC.
