Image of Late Professor Paul Cruskie teaching Theater students on stageMohawk Valley Community College lost longtime Theater Professor Paul Cruskie in May, and his friends are arranging an event to honor his memory on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. in Michael I. Schafer Theater at the College’s Utica Campus.

Former students and colleagues of Cruskie are invited to share a memory on the stage. A reception will follow in the Wilcox Hall Lobby. To learn more, email jgifford@mvcc.edu

Cruskie, who joined the MVCC humanities faculty in 1989, created and taught many of the courses in the MVCC Theater program, bringing his passion for theater and experience as an actor, director, set and lighting designer to his students in the classroom and on stage. In 2006, he received the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship & Creative Activities.
