Mohawk Valley Community College will host the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre “Dead Meat,” presented by the ACME Mystery Company, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Alumni College Center Snack Bar at the Utica Campus.
Admission, which includes a pasta dinner, is $35 for the public and $25 for MVCC employees. Limited tickets are available at mvcc.edu/tickets.
“Dead Meat” tells the story of the small Tortellini Corner Market and its owner, Papa Tortellini. Lately, life is “notta so good” for Papa; supermarket giant Price Slasher has him in its crosshairs, as does health inspector Harry Graft, and his wife, Mama Celeste, as well as some other shady characters. Papa’s counting on you and other audience members — loyal employees of the market — to come through. Don’t be late for the meeting — Papa will put the “evil eye” on you!
Based out of Syracuse, the ACME Mystery Company provides interactive comedies in a murder mystery format, usually as a dinner theatre. Their shows are fun to watch, with a real mystery that each audience member gets the chance to solve. At each seat is a program telling guests where they are, when they are, and who they are, as well as the characters they will be meeting. Each table is given a clue and encouraged to exchange information with other tables in an effort to better solve the mystery. Learn more at acmemysterytheater.com.
