The Central New York Recruiting Consortium is holding a free professional development and networking event, “Understanding the Assignment: Hiring Gen Z,” 8:30 a.m. to noon tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7, in Alumni College Center room 116 on Mohawk Valley Community College’s Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive.
More than 60 employers will be in attendance to discuss current organizational challenges and opportunities in recruitment, action steps in connect to Gen X talent pools, Recruitment practice implementation, tools necessary to differentiate between “boom” and “bust” generational mindsets, and Gen Z experiences of workplace culture.
Keynote speaker Tina Cooper, internship and student employment coordinator at SUNY Oswego, will provide an analysis of industry demographic data to support employers’ understanding of their target talent group and their ability to strategize their recruitment communication plan.
Following the keynote, a panel of Gen Z employees will share their personal experiences to convey the role of workplace culture in employee engagement and connection.
