Mohawk Valley Community College has partnered with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to provide new online opportunities and pathways for students seeking the flexibility to complete their entire associate and bachelor’s degrees online or to complete their traditional degree program at MVCC and transfer into one of SNHU’s online bachelor’s degree programs.
“We are thrilled about this progressive partnership and the prospect this agreement creates for our students at such a dynamic institution as Southern New Hampshire University,” says MVCC President Dr. Randall J. VanWagoner. “Throughout the pandemic, we’ve offered students full flexibility in terms of course delivery and this agreement enhances their opportunities by providing another direct avenue and many pathways to earning a bachelor’s degree.”
Under this agreement, MVCC alumni can transfer up to 90 credits toward a bachelor’s degree, including through specific degree pathways, and will receive a 10% discount on their SNHU tuition.
MVCC and SNHU developed five specific online degree pathways from MVCC degree programs—Health Information Technology, Human Services, Nursing, Business Administration, and Sports Management — to online SNHU programs—Health Information Management, Human Services, Nursing, Business Administration, and Sport Management, respectively, as well as a generalized pathway from MVCC’s General Studies program to a variety of SNHU programs.
MVCC online students have access to many of the same student supports that on-campus students do, including a Live Chat function staffed daily by Admissions, Advisement, and Brightspace Support; 24/7 live librarian support; and online tutoring appointments. As part of its commitment to student success, SNHU provides unparalleled support customized to help each learner meet their educational goals.
