The Mohawk Valley Community College Soccer program will host a Summer Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages 7-16 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, Aug. 2-6, at a new location — the Schuyler Sports Complex, 2413 State Route 5 in Utica.
The camp will offer technical, individual ball skills, group and team tactics, with instruction for all ability levels. It is organized into three separate ability divisions for skill, tactic, and game sessions, allowing for maximum skill development and fun for all ages. There will also be camp league games and contests.
Each camper should bring shin guards, soccer cleats, indoor footwear, a water bottle, and a snack if desired. Campers should also bring clothing and rain gear appropriate for the season. Water will be available at all sessions. All campers should check in between 8:30 and 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2.
Cost is $125 per camper (family rate of three or more is 20% discount off individual
rate). Cost includes an official stitched soccer ball and camp T-shirt. Please indicate
T-shirt size choice on registration form. If planning to attend the Goal Keeper Camp,
please check the appropriate box on the registration form.

The camp will be led by MVCC Women's Soccer Coach Jim Vitale, and Men's Soccer Coach Dominic DiMaggio will lead a Goal Keeper Camp.
Vitale is Head Coach of the MVCC Women’s Soccer program, which has won the Mountain Valley Conference for the past three consecutive years and Region III in 2020, 2019, 2013 and in 2012, when the team was crowned the NJCAA DIII champions. The Hawks have made the Regional Tournament in each of his nine years with the team. He also was named the 2020-2021 Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year, the 2019 NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year, and the 2019 Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.
DiMaggio is Head Coach of the Men’s Soccer Team, which he has led since 2017. He was named the 2020-2021 NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year, 2020-2021 Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year, NJCAA 2019 Region III Coach of the Year, and the 2019 Mountain Valley Conference Co-Coach Coach of the Year. Prior to joining the Hawks, he was an Assistant Coach at his Alma Mater, Southern New Hampshire University.
