45 inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
There were 45 students from Mohawk Valley Community College inducted into the Lambda Beta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recently during a ceremony held in the Alumni College Center on the Utica Campus. Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society for two-year colleges and the largest honor society in American higher education.
The emcee of the Fall induction ceremony was Lynn McCoy, Lambda Beta Chapter President, with congratulatory remarks from MVCC Vice President of Learning and Academic Affairs Dr. Maryrose Eannace. Also present was New York's Western Region's Vice President Paul Ferris and Ashley Farr, Lambda Beta Chapter Vice President for Honors and Awards.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is offered to students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher with at least 12 credit hours in a degree program. The inductees were:
