Campus Safety and Security
Mohawk Valley Community College has 24 hour campus security. In addition, the College maintains a camera system for use in high traffic areas as well as a good working relationship with neighboring police agencies.
All MVCC buildings are equipped with red, emergency telephones where dialing 5777 puts the caller directly in touch with Security. Through the parking lots one will find blue, emergency call boxes that will also put the caller directly in touch with Security.
In addition to the vehicle patrol, MVCC Campus Safety & Security also conducts foot and bike patrol, provides escort services to classes, dorm rooms, or vehicles and can assist motorists with jump-starts and lock-outs.
As with all colleges and universities, MVCC is required to provide basic information on your "Right To Know" including basic evacuation procedures, sexual assault prevention, discrimination complaint policies and the College’s crime statistics. We encourage you to become familiar with its content.
