Nursing Instructors

Job Description

Tenure track positions to teach in an NLN accredited Associate degree RN program. NYS RN license, BS degree with major in Nursing, MS degree with major in Nursing or currently enrolled and pursuing an MS degree in Nursing required. MS degree in Nursing Education preferred. Travel to off-campus clinical sites required. Teaching assignments may be day or evening classes and clinicals between Utica and Rome Campus. Positions require clinical experience within the last three years in one or more of the following areas: Maternity Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing and/or Psychiatric Nursing. For these positions, understanding the mission of a comprehensive community college, community college teaching experience, knowledge of assessment strategies for student learning outcomes, capability with instructional technology, interest in teaching online courses, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively with students preferred. Job Description

Routine patrol of dormitories, college buildings and grounds to maintain security, health and safety of staff and students at Mohawk Valley Community College. Either eligible for appointment from Oneida County Civil Service Campus Security Officer list or meet eligibility requirements for Oneida County Civil Service temporary appointment: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and New York State Security Guard certification at time of appointment required.
