Department Welcome
The Humanities Department is able to offer students three
kinds of opportunities.
First, we offer transfer programs in Humanities and Social Science, International Studies, and Theater. Students in these programs take standard general education courses and transfer to public and private baccalaureate schools in a variety of programs.
Second, we offer another transfer program, General Studies, that provides students with a solid general education background as well as the opportunity to take eight general electives from across the college. This is a very popular program for students who are unsure what academic program to choose.
Third, we offer the ESL Certificate for students whose first language is not English. This is a valuable credential for students who continue in college or use English in the workplace.
